PainPlan was created to provide quality comprehensive pain services to everyday people. Modern medicine often lacks the tools to be able to give the time and support necessary to understand why someone has persistent physical symptoms, what is actually going on in their lives, and to put together a plan that creates lasting change. Often people are left stuck on a merry-go-round of assessment, scans, and procedures, without seeing any lasting results. We want to change that.
Ben Matthews
Head coach and founder
Ben is a qualified physiotherapist and pain coach with extensive experience working with chronic pain and other chronic illnesses. He brings both personal lived experience with chronic pain and years of client work and research to offer a unique combination of treatments that target the core factors that maintain chronic pain. The goal of PainPlan is to allow more people to access evidence based information for not only managing their symptoms, but actually seeing them improve. Ben is on the ground, involved in hearing people's stories, sharing insights, and coaching people through their journey from suffering chronic pain back to thriving.
Linda van den Berg
Nutrition Coach
Linda has been working as a mental health practitioner for the past decade, with a strong commitment to providing medium- to long-term counselling and coaching support, typically spanning 8 to 12 sessions. Her focus is on addressing and healing the underlying, often subconscious issues related to disordered eating and eating disorders, including depression, anxiety, low self-confidence and self-worth, trauma, stress, and perfectionism. Her approach is strength-based, therapeutic, and practical. As an open, honest, easy-going, and non-judgmental person, Linda deeply understands the struggles of mental health, having personally overcome various eating disorders, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
